What’s that, you ask, on the featured image?
I’m so, so, so happy to see that Kresley Cole has finally released a cover, title, release date, AND a description for the fourth Arcana Chronicles installment. And that book is called… Arcana Rising!!!
I’ve waited since the last book, Dead of Winter, came out to hear information on the next one. And it’s been a long, not so patient, wait. Just read the description from Goodreads:
Losses mount and deadly new threats converge in this fourth action-packed tale of the Arcana Chronicles by #1 New York Times bestseller Kresley Cole.
When the battle is done . . .
The Emperor unleashed hell and annihilated an army, jeopardizing the future of mankind–but Circe struck back. The epic clash between them devastates the Arcana world and nearly kills Evie, separating her from her allies.
And all hope is lost . . .
With Aric missing and no sign that Jack and Selena escaped Richter’s reach, Evie turns more and more to the darkness lurking inside her. Two Arcana emerge as game changers: one who could be her salvation, the other her worst nightmare.
Vengeance becomes everything.
To take on Richter, Evie must reunite with Death and mend their broken bond. But as she learns more about her role in the future–and her chilling past–will she become a monster like the Emperor? Or can Evie and her allies rise up from Richter’s ashes, stronger than ever before?
Honestly, just look at that cover. (While I still prefer the original two covers…) This cover promises so much. The last two covers have been all about winter and the harsh, barren, cold that the aftermath of the Flash has left behind. This cover shows an ocean with a brighter sky and I’m so curious if that is alluding to warmer temperatures and a different scenery than what we’ve seen as of late?
Regardless of what happens, I’m so excited. I’ve waited so long for news and five minutes after I finished Rose and the Dagger, I find this information at the top of my Facebook news feed to hit me like a semi-truck going 80 mph. This was the best hopeful news to get after finishing a lovely series that I was sad to finish. Only two and a half months to go until I finally get to get my hands on the Arcana Chronicles again (Plus Day Zero being released two weeks before Arcana Rising)! This long wait is finally nearing a close, but only with the promise of another book to wait for (I hope…). August 15 cannot come fast enough.
Edit: So far I’ve only seen it available to pre-order in ebook… if anyone sees it available in print, let me know!!
