Favorite Books of 2020

Can I blame how late this post is because of how fast this January is flying by? Usually January is never ending, but I seemed to go to sleep on New Year’s Day and wake up to the end of the month.

2020 was a terrible year for many people. It was a year unlike any other and I am not going to talk about how unprecedented or tragic the year was. We all know. We’ve read a thousand posts reiterating the same thoughts.

As much time I found myself having on my hands, I didn’t read as much as I thought. The year was off to a good start. I think I had 10 books read by mid-February. Then everything came to a halt. I limped out of the year, finishing my last book in October. I barely made it 2/3 into my reading challenge. Hopefully I prioritize reading more in 2021.

Despite it being a slow year of reading (and many, many re-reads), I read some great books.

Favorite Books of 2019

Before 2020 progresses any further, I need to tell you my top five of 2019.

It was a weird year of reading for me. The first month or so I read a few books back-to-back. The next couple of months lulled. This was followed by a month and a half or so of binge reading. Then…a really long lull. Looking back, what I can say about the books I read in the last year of the 2010s is most of the books I read brought me right back to where it all began earlier in the decade.

Favorite Books of 2017
