Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book.
― John Green,
As many of you know, unless you’ve been under a rock, the newest book movie was released officially yesterday: The Fault in Our Stars. This movie is a killer adaption of the book.
I saw it Thursday night and it was a wonderful rendition of the book. Ansel Elgort did an amazing job of playing Augustus Waters. In some scenes, it had to be really hard to play. The gas station scene particularly, those of you who know what I’m talking about ;). Also, Shailene Woodley did a great job of playing Hazel Grace Lancaster. When I first discovered she was going to be the female lead, I’ll be honest, I was a bit hesitant. But when I saw the movie, it worked out well.
I loved every minute of the film. And thank you to John Green for writing such a wonderful, heart wrenching story.
Bring your tissues, ladies and gentlemen. This will be one of the best romances of the summer.
